Our Founder: Barry Sheinkopf
Barry Sheinkopf founded Full Court Press in 2001 with a clear mission: to support authors who struggle to find traditional publishing opportunities or prefer the autonomy of self-publishing. With over forty years of experience in the publishing industry, Barry has honed his skills at major New York trade and academic presses, meticulously preparing thousands of manuscripts for publication. As a hybrid author himself, Barry understands the nuances of both mass market and self-publishing.

Answers to Your Publishing Questions
How long does the publishing process take?
We can get fully designed PDFs to you in around a month, depending on the extent of editing the book requires and the amount of illustrations, photos, figures, or tables to be included.
What are the costs of publishing a book through us?
In addition to structural and/or line editing fees, pass-through charges include the following: a unique ISBN number that enables the title to be sold through all channels for print and ebook; a printer’s setup and maintenance fee for registering your print title, reporting to us, and sending payments; a similar converter’s setup and maintenance fee; a barcode; Copyright registration; a Library of Congress Control number; your proof copy; and a market access fee.
Can I use my own cover designer or illustrator?
We have worked with scores of cover designers and illustrators and are happy to provide detailed technical specifications for trouble-free collaboration.
How do I track my book’s sales and royalties?
We provide quarterly reports on sales and mail checks detailing how many books have sold and total income.
Do you handle both print and eBook formats?
Yes, we do. We offer a wide range of formats in both perfect-bound paperback and hardcover, with black and white or color interiors and in a number of paper types. We also offer ebooks in both dynamic flow (for titles without interior illustrations) and fixed format (for those that do
contain interior art).
